What sort of warranty do you offer?
Parliament Contracting offers a 10 year comprehensive warranty on roofing installation services and a 5 year warranty on interior renovations. What this means is that in the event of a leak, we will be held responsible for property damage resulting from the leak (ie, having the ceiling repainted) as well as for diagnosing and correcting the leak. This warranty is transferable within the first 48 months.
As well, you will be backed by our shingle manufacturer’s warranty.
We back our warranty by saving 5% of the value of every contract, for 5 years.
Do you require a deposit?
For residential projects most often we do not require a deposit. For larger commercial jobs we usually require 40% downpayment.
Are you insured?
Yes, We are insured against accident and liability and our workers are insured by WSIB.
What does this mean? It means that if you, a guest, or your property are damaged by negligence on our part, that you will be covered. We carry liability insurance of 2,000.000$. If a labourer is injured on the job-site, both you and the company are insured against a lawsuit, and the labourer’s medical needs will be met by the government of Ontario’s Worker and Safety Insurance Board’s programs.
How can I extend the lifetime of my roof?
Inspect your roofing system on a regular basis. Inspect and clean your drains and gutters and remove debris such as leaves and branches to avoid any long term damage these materials may cause. What is ventilation and why should I ventilate my roof?
Ventilation is the process of creating a continuous supply of air throughout the attic space in your home. Ventilation is used to protect your roof from heat and moisture and can reduce energy bills and eliminate mold and mildew problems.

How can I tell if my roof is leaking?
Any of the following signs may be an indication of a leaky roof; mold, mildew, wet spots, blistering/peeling of paint, roof shingle sheathing and stains on interior ceilings.
